Day 3 - My Machine: Pfaff Creative Icon
So this beast is a sewing and embroidery machine. It is still currently the top of the line for Pfaff machine. Whispers of the Creative Icon 2 still abound, however, pandemic, chip shortage and shipping delays have all affected its eminent appearance.
I've had my little beauty for a little over a year, and I'm sad I say I've only embroidered two things on it so far. Oh, I've created SEVERAL quilt tops, but that embroidery arm sits sadly in its case most days. I should really remedy that in 2022!
This is a great machine, my fellow quilters! I'm surprised that Pfaff doesn't have Sewlebrities on their payroll touting the many amazing attributes this machine has. (**hint, hint** Hey Pfaff, if you're reading this, I'm TOTALLY available!) It has a very reliable quarter inch; came with the quarter inch foot. It's super bright, with loads of sewing space. But the BEST part is the Pfaff IDT ...Integrated Dual-Feed Technology. It's like a super walking foot, and it attaches in under a second! Seriously! It's really easy to use. No bulky foot attachment, no screw driver needed, no wires to plug in.
I love this machine so much I have a series of "getting to know you" videos in pre-production. So go over to my YouTube page and subscribe, that way you'll be the first to see them. (And leave me a video tutorial request that you'd like to see!)
Check out this machine and all it's details on the Pfaff website:
And if you're in the Albany, NY area, head north to South Glens Falls. Adirondack Quilts is where I purchased my machine. You can take the Icon, or several other Pfaff machines for a spin. (Tell them I sent you!)
I can hear my Icon calling me now... better get back to my quilt lab!
